The Patriot-News, Harrisburg, Pa. — Dustin Hockensmith The Patriot-News, Harrisburg, Pa.

May 17--Today's Penn State football news headlines feature a number of recruiting decisions on the horizon and a timeline of a series with Pitt that is set to come to and end.

Four key Penn State targets are due to announce their decisions by the end of the weekend, and the Lions are in the hunt for all four. North Stafford (Va.) running back Devyn Ford and Colonia (N.J.) defensive lineman Antonio Alfano will announce May 18. Louisa County (Va.) linebacker Brandon Smith and St. Thomas More (Conn.) defensive back Tyler Rudolph will follow on May 21.

Could the Lions be on the verge of a hot streak? PennLive's Greg Pickel, Land of 10's Tyler Donohue and Lions247's Sean Fitz ($) weigh in.

Penn State and Pitt finalized and announced a primetime kickoff (8 p.m. EST) for the Sept. 8 game at Heinz Field. It's the next chapter in a series that will end following the 2019 season. Land of 10's Audrey Snyder has a good look at what both sides have said about the series dating back to 2016.

In other Penn State football news, Brent Pry discusses linebackers and safeties. The Lions offer a 2020 wideout, and Adrian Amos won't back down when he sees Saquon Barkley in the NFL.
